Tunisia, Angola, Egypt and Algeria have all secured qualification to the 2023 World Men’s Juniors Handball Championship after progressing to the semi-finals of the U-20 African Men’s Handball Championship in Rwanda.
The top four finishers of the tournament all qualify for next year’s event scheduled to take place in Germany and Greece from June 20 to July 2.
Tunisia topped Group A with six points as they scraped past Morocco 31-18 at the BK Arena on Thursday.
Semi-final stage set for this Friday
In-form Tunisia will face Algeria in the first semi-final clash at 5 pm, while defending Champions Egypt battle Angola in the second encounter at 7 pm.
Rwanda and Congo, as the bottom teams in each preliminary group, will battle into the 7-8 placement match, with 3rd placed teams, Morocco and Libya competing for 5-6 position at 3 pm.
The bronze and gold-medal matches will be played on Saturday, 27th August, 2022.
