Algeria to meet Egypt in African Men’s Juniors Handball Championship final

Algeria’s win over Tunisia meant they qualified for the African Men’s Juniors Handball Championship final taking place in Kigali, Rwanda.

They scraped through at tight game against Tunisia to prevail 29-25 at the Bk Arena on Friday.

Tunisia national team led 16-13 at half-time break but Algerians managed to turn around results in the last 30 minutes of the second half.

Meddahi Racim starred for  Algeria as he scored 10 goals.

In the final match scheduled this Saturday at 7 pm, Algeria will face rivals and defending champions Egypt which beat Angola 33-24 in another semi-final game played Yesterday.

Both teams were placed in Group A and Egypt won 39-27 over Algeria.

The bronze medal match will feature Tunisia and Angola this Saturday at 5 pm.

In group stage, Tunisia won 25-22 over Angola.

Congo finished in seventh place after narrowly beating hosts Rwanda 35-34, whereas Morocco finished fifth beating Libya 35-34 after penalties. It was a 31-31 draw after 60 minutes of play.
