Today, the Honorable Minister of Sports of Rwanda, Nelly Mukaziyire, welcomed a delegation led by Dr. Adolphe Aremou Mansourou, the President of the African Handball Confederation (CAHB), who is in Rwanda for a working visit from March 1, 2025. During their meeting, they discussed preparations for the 2026 African Cup of Nations (Senior Men), which is scheduled to take place from January 16 to 31, 2026.
They also addressed key areas for the development of handball in Africa, with a particular focus on Rwanda. Following the discussions, the CAHB President and his delegation attended a friendly match between the Rwanda National Junior Handball Team and APR HC. The match concluded with a victory for the National Team, ending in a score of 31-30. This game was part of the preparations for the Rwanda U21 National Team as they get ready to represent both Rwanda and Africa in the IHF Intercontinental Trophy, scheduled to take place in Pristina/Kosovo from 12th to 16th March 2025.
