CAHB President arrives in Rwanda for African Juniors Championship opener

The African Handball Confederation (CAHB) President, Dr. Mansourou Aremou, has arrived in Rwanda ahead of the start of the Men’s Juniors African Championship scheduled on 20th to 27th August, in Kigali.

This 29th edition will feature nine teams across the continent competing for the title during a week.

The participating teams started to arrive in Kigali on Thursday, August 18.

Angola, Egypt, and Tunisia national teams have so far checked in.

Before the start of this highly-anticipated showpiece, some officials and delegates are arriving in Rwanda.

The CAHB President, Dr. Mansourou Aremou checked in this Friday and was welcomed by Rwanda Handball Federation officials.

Dr. Mansourou recently emphasized that “all the participating delegations will enjoy themselves in this beautiful country known for its charm and well known in the world for its tourist assets.”

Speaking to players and supporters, he mentioned that they are the image of an African handball in full development.

“As young players, you will offer quite a show to the less young people who will come to cheer you.”

“Never forget that you are the spokesmen of our sport and that the fair play you will show on the field during those championships will reflect on our collective passion for handball,” he added.

The championship will be held in BK Arena.

Organizers will welcome spectators for a free entrance with proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination.
