Both Algeria and Egypt became the first African countries to qualify for next summer\u2019s IHF Men\u2019s World Junior Handball Championship after winning their second match in Group B on Monday.<\/em><\/p>\n

On match day three of the U-20 African Men\u2019s Handball Championship at Bk Arena in Kigali, Algeria beat Libya 38-23, whereas Egypt won 40-23 over Congo.<\/p>\n

The victories for both teams mean they are tied on four points in the first two places of Group B and confirmed their 2023 IHF Men\u2019s Junior World Championship participation after reaching in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n

Algeria and Egypt will face off on Wednesday in their last match, which will determine the Group B winner while the other fixture will be Congo taking on Libya on the same day.<\/p>\n

Hosts Rwanda lose again<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite a good number of fans at the Bk Arena, the Rwanda national team lost to Morocco 39-22 on Monday.<\/p>\n

So far, Rwanda has played two games in the competition, and lost both.<\/p>\n

On Saturday, Rwanda lost its opening game to Angola 20-43.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, Tunisia beat Angola 25-22 and confirm their first win in the on-going U-20 Men\u2019s Juniors African Handball Championship.<\/p>\n

Rwanda will wrap up their Group A campaign against Tunisia on Wednesday at 7 pm after Morocco and Angola’s game at 5 pm.<\/p>\n

The top four teams from this tournament will directly qualify for the 2023 Men’s Junior World Handball Championship to be jointly hosted by Germany and Greece next summer.<\/p>\n
